Military:

I was an Air Force officer from 1973 until I retired after 24-years of service in 1997 at the rank of lieutenant colonel.

During  my Air Force career, I served as a navigator on the KC-135 Stratotanker air refueling aircraft, served on the staff of the Air Force Officer  Training School (OTS), commanded an Air Force Recruiting Service  squadron and finished my career in the E-3 Airborne Warning and Control  System (AWACS) aircraft.

I've  had the privilege of serving as a squadron commander three times during  my career. I commanded a squadron at OTS and in Recruiting Service, as  well as commanded deployed E-3 flying squadrons in the Middle East  during actively hostile flying operations.

Franchising:

I  began my franchising career just one week after retiring from the Air  Force ... it's hard for me to realize that was 28 years ago!

My  first job in franchising was that of Regional Director for the New York  City corporate-owned master franchise for the world's largest  commercial contract cleaning franchise corporation.  Within a year, I  was promoted to the vice president for all 35 corporate-owned master  franchises throughout the United States and Canada.

I  then moved to serve as Vice President for Franchise Development for a  start-up franchise in the home-building industry. My next move was to a  real estate franchise where I was the Vice President for Operations.

Moving  to Denver, Colorado to be near both of our grown children, I became the  Vice President for Franchise Development for one of the oldest and  largest senior care franchises in the industry.

Having interfaced with franchise consultants for years as they referred their clients to franchises for which I worked, I became motivated to leave the corporate world and establish my own franchise consultancy ... that was 14 years ago!

I've really enjoyed being a franchise consultant and becoming friends with my many clients over the past decade.

I'm looking forward to helping you and you and I becoming friends!
